Mass. vs. NY: May 18 at Foxwoods Resorts Casino  
MASHANTUCKET, Conn (April 22, 2012) - The fifth annual Battle of the Badges(BOB5), featuring amateur boxing matches between the Massachusetts Correctional Officer Boxing Team (MCO) and Suffolk County (New York) Correctional Officers boxing teams, on Saturday night, May 18, at Fox Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut.

"BOB5" is presented by National Public Safety Athletic League ("NPSAL") in association MCO, SCCOA, and Foxwoods Resort Casino.  Defending champion NY leads in this amateur boxing series, 3-1. 

Proceeds from the May 18th charitable event will benefit Work Vessels For Veterans and NPSAL. More than a dozen matches are scheduled, pitting Team MCO versus Team  SCCOA.

"The Boston-New York sports rivalry lives through these amateur boxers who've promised to put on a grand show and great night of fun," BOB5 spokesperson Artie Dias, Jr. said.  "Along with an entertaining boxing card, we have invited many boxing greats and entertainment celebrities as our special guests. "
